RidePermit is a free digital e-bike permitting and safety-training platform for California families and school districts, built by LexBran Group, LLC dba RidePermit. Founded by 30+ year technologist Anthony 'Tony' Bright, RidePermit was created independently out of personal concern for student e-bike safety. AB 1569 would require districts to verify that students completed safety training before parking an e-bike on campus. Verification is the hard part, and it is what RidePermit was built to do. The bill passed both houses of the California Legislature in August 2026 and awaits action by the Governor. The digital permit is always free to families and free to districts, with an optional physical decal available for a low fee ($25 new, $15 renewal).
