QR Scan Result Guide

What each scan result means and what to do

Authorized to Ride

What it means

This student has a valid, active e-bike permit. Safety training is complete. Bike class is verified.

What to do

No action needed. Student is cleared to ride.

Warning on Record

What it means

This student has an active permit but a warning has been issued by school staff for a prior violation.

What to do

Note the warning. Use your judgment on whether to allow riding today. Contact your district admin if escalation is needed.

Permit Expired

What it means

This student's permit has passed its expiration date and is no longer valid.

What to do

Do not allow the student to ride. Ask the student to have their parent renew the permit at ridepermit.com before riding again.

Permit Revoked

What it means

This student's permit has been revoked by school or district administration.

What to do

Do not allow the student to ride. Direct the student to the front office. Contact your district admin for details.

Bike Reported Stolen

What it means

This bike has been reported stolen by the permit holder. The permit is flagged and the school district has been notified.

What to do

Do not allow anyone to ride this bike. If the student in front of you is NOT the registered permit holder, contact law enforcement immediately. If the registered student is present, direct them to the front office.
